My name is Dan Nyalka and I am so excited to be at Pioneer Path with your children and this dedicated staff! Should you have questions or concerns, please feel free to call or email me.
I am sure this will be another exciting year. The entire staff at Pioneer Path is looking forward to working with you, as partners, in your child's education. We have worked hard over the summer making improvements to our building, as well as looking at the curriculum and instruction we provide to our students. We are confident we will deliver an exceptional year to you and your children. We are excited to continue differentiating instruction to meet all of the students' needs. Teachers have aligned the curriculum to meet the demands of the Common Core and are integrating our Reading and Math programs. The standards can be found on the Illinois State Board website if you wish to view them.
As always, good communication is an important aspect of education. Students and parents should feel free to come to the office with questions, problems, and/or concerns. Be sure to read the "Thursday Note" as well as newsletters from your child's teacher to be aware of weekly updates. You can also check the district website www.csd17.org for district information. Our school is now on social media, "Like" our Facebook page and "Follow" our Twitter feed.
In order to foster the best possible learning environment for our students, we need to set some guidelines to follow. Channahon School District Handbook is online, please be sure to become familiar with the rules and procedures included in that handbook. Make sure to pay special attention to our classroom party policy and dress code.
