Dear Parents and Guardians,
Happy New Year! I hope you and your family enjoyed a blessed holiday season and made many happy memories!
For this edition of the Superintendent Minute, I want to take a moment to express gratitude for the incredible support we receive from our parents and families. Whether it’s assisting with lunch duty, supporting classroom activities, organizing special projects, or serving on parent organizations such as the PTO or Music Boosters, your willingness to lend a hand—whether for a few hours or on a regular basis—makes a real difference in our schools. It allows these experiences to run smoothly and helps create an atmosphere where students feel valued and cared for.
During the 2024-2025 school year, our schools created new opportunities to get involved, and our parents have answered the call. For example, this past weekend, at our first ever Robotics team competition, I spoke to numerous parents who came out to help. This included working concessions, assisting with organizing teams, and even serving as volunteer officials/scorers. Mrs. Gubbins, the creator and sponsor of the Robotics Club, expressed that she was incredibly grateful for the support from so many parents.
As we continue through this school year, please know that your support—whether big or small—has a profound and lasting impact. Together, we are building something truly special, and I am deeply grateful for your contribution to our school community. Your faith in our district and our team fuels our commitment to continually improve and provide the best possible education for all students.
Thank you for everything you do to make our district a better place for our kids!
Warmly,
Dr. Nicholas Henkle, Superintendent
