Channahon School District 17
PTO needs your help.
Did you know that there are many no-cost,
stress-free ways that you can help Channahon
School District schools that take virtually no
time at all? Many companies are willing to
give free cash or educational
materials to schools that participate in their
redemption or recycling programs. My name is
Mary Easton and I am the Channahon School
District 17 PTO Coordinator for the following
programs.
Campbell’s Labels for Education.
Last
year we collected almost 16,000 labels. We
use these labels to purchase educational items
for our schools. Our goal this year is to
reach 25,000 labels. Cut out the UPC
(or send in the entire label if you do not
have time to cut it out). The program also
includes: Campbell’s beans, V-8 juices, Prego
pasta sauces, Chunky soups & chili’s, and
Franco American gravies & SpaghettiO’s.
Pepperidge Farm products are also eligible.
Visit their website at
www.labelsforeducation.com
for additional information.
NEW COLLECTION PROCESS FOR
CAMPBELL’S LABELS FOR EDUCATION -
CAMPBELL’S NOW REQUIRES THE UPC FROM EACH
QUALIFYING PRODUCT(NOT THE FRONT OF THE LABEL).
Fast Fixin’ Home Team.
This program was new for 2006-07. Each Home
Team logo is worth 30¢. Clip the Home
Team logo from the back of specially
marked bags of Fast Fixin’ products, including
Chicken Nuggets, Popcorn Chicken, Chicken
Fried Chicken and much more. Each school can
earn up to $5,000 per year. Visit their
website at
www.advancebrands.com/Advb/HomeTeamRewardsHome.html
Box Tops For Education.
Last year, we raised over
$3,590.00 to purchase books to enhance our
schools’ libraries. This year our goal is to
reach $4,000.00 to be used for the schools’
literacy funds. Each Box Top coupon is worth
10¢. Clip the small “Box Tops 4
Education” coupon from over 100
General Mills products. An additional way to
earn money is to shop on-line through the Box
Tops website. When doing so, select N.B.
Galloway as the participating school. There
are over 200 participating stores including
Oriental Trading that donate a certain
percentage of your purchase. Check out their
website at www.boxtops4education.com
to find other stores and more ways Box
Tops helps schools. Each school can earn up to
$60,000.00 each year.
Tyson A+.
This is a relatively new program that we began
two years ago. Each Tyson A+ label is worth
24¢. To date we have submitted over 300
labels. Cut off the entire top of the
package that includes the Tyson A+ logo.
The entire label needs to be submitted. Each
school can earn up to $12,000 per year. Visit
their website at
www.tyson.com/projectaplus/default.asp.
Drop any of these labels/box
tops into one of the collection boxes at the
drop-off centers listed below.
Please help us out – and ask
your friends, neighbors and relatives to help,
as well. If you have any questions, please
contact me at (815) 521-9033. This is a way,
we, as a community, can contribute to our
schools without any additional cost to you.
Thank you for making a difference for our
schools.
Sincerely,
Mary Easton
